Enter the network name exactly
Names are case-sensitive. Include spaces and punctuation exactly as they appear in your router settings. Choose WPA/WPA2 for most modern home and office networks.
Know what the code contains
A Wi-Fi QR code is convenient, not encrypted. Anyone who can scan or photograph it can recover the network password. Display it only where you would be comfortable sharing those credentials.
QR Domain escapes punctuation correctly and builds the code locally. The network name and password are not sent to QR Domain.
Use a guest network
For a shop, studio, or event, create a separate guest network with device isolation when your router supports it. Replace the printed code whenever the password changes.
Print for the scanning distance
Use high contrast, standard quiet space, and at least 30 mm (about 1.2 inches) for a hand-held card. Test with both iOS and Android before displaying it.
