Guide 01

Add a logo without breaking the scan.

A logo can make a code feel intentional, but it also covers data. Keep the treatment restrained and verify the actual export.

Start with a simple mark

Use a square PNG, JPEG, or WebP with a clear silhouette. QR Domain center-crops it to a square and re-encodes it as PNG in your browser, which also strips ordinary image metadata.

Stay between 10% and 22%

A logo at 16% of the QR width is a dependable starting point. Smaller codes and dense payloads need more restraint. QR Domain never lets a logo exceed 22%.

What QR Domain does automatically

It switches to error correction level H, clears modules behind the logo, preserves all three finder patterns, and decodes the finished design before enabling export.

Test the setting, not just the file

Scan on both a bright and dim screen. For print, test at the final physical size and from the distance people will actually use. Matte stock is usually kinder than a reflective finish.

Keep contrast strong

Dark modules on a light background remain the most reliable combination. The generator requires at least a 4.5:1 contrast ratio, but black on white is still the safest choice for very small output.
